Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
  • Ability to assume & perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Work well with others and also be able to perform work independently.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Make decisions and corrections when problems are detected.
  • Have knowledge of safety rules and practices and a very good safety record.
  • Have proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Have a history of being dependable & reliable.
  • Good organizational skills, good customer relations skills, and a record of very positive work performance.
  • Read and understand repair manuals, procedures and standards.
  • Up to two years of experience of practical, mechanical experience working on rotating equipment
Preferred Skills:
  • Gas compression mechanical experience a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications preferred.
  • Vocational Tech certificates or equipment specific training a plus
 
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
  • Dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Work may involve walking over uneven terrain, bending, moving from ground level to higher levels, and working around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. Candidate will be subject to DOT drug & alcohol testing requirements
  • Must be willing to work overtime and handle call-outs
  • Must have a minimum of a High School degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written or spoken work instructions in English.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Outdoor work required with exposure to elements
  • Able to work extended hours & call-outs as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be willing to live within an hour of reporting location of TBD, TX.
