This position provides pipeline support to Lone Star NGL Refinery Services and Whiskey Bay Company. Employee will perform operational and maintenance duties necessary to operate pipeline assets owned and operated by Lone Star NGL Refinery Services and Whiskey Bay Company.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: 

  • Perform operational and maintenance duties necessary to operate pipeline assets owned and operated by Lone Star NGL refinery Services and Whiskey Bay Company. Assets include valve settings, pig launching/receiver stations, HVL pipelines, natural gas pipelines, and compressor stations. Areas of responsibility will cover from Henderson, Louisiana going east to Chalmette, Louisiana.
  • Perform pipeline ROW work such as maintaining pipeline markers, scheduling ROW cutting and spraying, and performing ROW patrols.
  • Investigate and respond to One Call activity, encroachments, line crossings and other various construction activities near our pipelines.
  • Effectively use hand, power and specialty tools and equipment such as computers and associated software, line locaters, flares and pigging equipment.
  • Maintain records for required state, federal, and company procedures.
  • Utilize email and computers for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing/maintenance of various forms and records.
  • Expected to respond to emergency situations during off days. Incumbent is subject to call out 24 hours a day 7 days a week with the possibility of extended work days and work weeks.
  • Schedules, coordinates, manages, and inspects the work of third party contractors.
  •  Incumbent should be highly motivated and dedicated to the company's goal.
  • Ability to effectively schedule, plan, and prioritize work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others to support company objectives, and willingness to work with others.
  • Candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and the be able to accept changing priorities.
  • Participate in public awareness meetings and attend various industry conventions.
  • Maintain required training such as HAZWOPER training, TWIC, Operator Qualification, and various safety training required by OSHA.

Required education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
