  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  •  0 to 2 years of experience required, additional experience or education preferred.  Background in the natural gas industry is desired
  • Should be a good communicator and work planner with excellent work ethics.
  •  Computer and basic office software experience required
  •  Effective written & verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing & maintaining good working relationships with others, to support company objectives, and willingness to work in all areas required.
  •  Candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.
  • If the person hired is a new employee to the company he or she will be required to complete a Water Survival Training course including the HUET portion of the program. (Helicopter Underwater Egress Training
  • Must possess or be able to acquire a TWIC card.
  • The employee will be required to live within 45 minutes of the Erath, La. location. 
 
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements
 
Highly motivated and 100% dedicated to the company’s goals. Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, Gas Control, Engineering, and Division Staff, landowners, contractors and vendors. Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and schedule work. Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions. Must be able to work in remote locations, often working alone. May be required to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training. Will require some overnight stays away from home. Incumbent is subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended work-days and/or work-weeks. Required to carry a cell phone and is subject to 24-hr/day callout at any time for emergency response. Candidate must have a proven safe driving record and provide documentation of past traffic violations upon request, as well as maintain a valid driver's license. Incumbent will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and will adhere and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol related regulations, and will be subject to background check.
