Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess the ability to communicate both verbally and through written forms.
  • Participate in behavior based safety system which includes peer on peer observations, incident and near miss investigations as well as job safety analysis.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting analysis on the various kinds of equipment.
  • Issues work permits and monitor contractors working in our facility to insure compliance with Safe Work Practices.
  • Desire to work in highly quality-controlled environment.
  • Ability to learn advanced equipment operating skills.
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised any various task.
  • Ability to climb tanks up to 80’ for gauging and metering without fear of heights.
  • Ability to be trained to operate a forklift safely.
  • Ability to climb on tanker trucks for unloading, pulling of samples and cleaning of equipment.
  • Ability to climb stair wells to operate equipment, example (filter press).
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders in pit.
  • Understand how to unload company trucks and outside units bringing product for disposal.
  • Ability to transfer product from tank to tank by opening and closing valves.
  • Analyze specifications and control continuous operation of petroleum based products and processing units to produce products, for example bio fuels and light end petroleum products, by such methods as distillation.
  • Move and set controls, ( knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms, etc) on control panels to control process variables, ( flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, chemicals, etc) by regulation and remote control processing units, ( heaters, furnaces, compressors, exchanges, reactors, stabilizers, fractionators, strippers, and distillation towers, etc.)
  • Patrol units to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.
  • Read temperature and pressure gauges and flow meters, record readings, and compile operating records.
  • Determine malfunctioning units by observing control instruments.
  • Inspect equipment to determine location and nature of malfunction, for example leaks, breakages, and faulty valves.
