Sr Administrative Assistant
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for the position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience supporting senior management personnel, preferably supporting VP/General Manager and above level. Other relevant experience will be considered.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Flexible, with ability to work in a team setting supporting several people, and manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, administrative certification
- Past experience supporting a VP or GM level in small to mid-size distribution, manufacturing, fabrication or similar company.
- Past experience with contract screening, organization, and storage according to retention guidelines highly desired.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to think outside the box, learn on the fly, and make things happen.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate an innate desire and commitment to go above and beyond, exceeding expectations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, OpenText, and SAP applications highly desired
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
