Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Summary:

Sunoco LP is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Specialist – Spend and Savings Analysis to join our Sourcing & Procurement team. The position will be responsible for developing comprehensive reports and conducting optimized data analysis to drive strategic decision-making related to spend by category and vendor. The primary focus will be on identifying sourcing opportunities, generating leads for stakeholders and business unit procurement teams, and ensuring savings tracking and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Spend Analysis and Reporting:

  •        Develop and maintain detailed reports on spend by category, vendor, and business unit.
  •        Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to analyze spend data and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  •        Prepare and present actionable insights and recommendations to key business unit stakeholders and senior leadership.

Sourcing Opportunity Identification:

  •        Proactively identify sourcing opportunities through spend analysis, market research, and benchmarking activities.
  •        Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business unit procurement teams to understand business requirements and develop strategic sourcing initiatives.
  •        Generate leads and provide guidance on potential vendors, products, and services that align with organizational goals and objectives.

Savings Tracking and Compliance:

  •          Implement robust processes and tools for tracking savings achieved through procurement initiatives and strategic sourcing projects.
  •          Monitor compliance with contract terms, pricing agreements, and service level commitments to maximize savings and mitigate risks.
  •          Generate regular reports on savings performance and compliance metrics, highlighting areas of success and areas for improvement.

Data Optimization and Process Improvement:

  •          Continuously refine data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  •          Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to leverage technology solutions for data integration, visualization, and automation.
  •          Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline procurement workflows and enhance decision-making capabilities.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  •       Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  •       5-8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related roles, with a focus on spend analysis and strategic sourcing.
  •       Experience with SAP S4 HANA
  •       Very strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  •       Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing methodologies, and contract management principles.
  •       Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  •       Proven track record of driving savings and process improvements through data-driven insights and strategic initiatives.
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
