Specialist - Controls
Required education:
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret and analyze data
- Experienced with on-line monitoring systems and Bentley Nevada systems preferred
- Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel applications.
- Intimately familiar with failsafe Emergency Shutdown Systems and equipment protection fundamentals.
- Must be organized and methodical in diagnosing equipment and controls related problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact with all levels of management and non-management personnel. As a Company representative, the incumbent also interfaces with outside regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and industry counterparts
- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Driving, walking, standing frequently.
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
