Essential Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of process control systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent human relations skills. 

  • Thorough knowledge of Company procedures and Industry-related standards, codes and practices, and applicable Federal and State regulations. 
  • Experience in executing and administering Company-wide programs.  
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment. 
  • Well organized with a high level of personal initiative and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in analytic problem solving and providing support in the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Good operating knowledge of Siemens 545/55 and Allen Bradley PLC’s
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.  (Electrical/Controls, Mechanical, Civil including P&ID)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to handle changing priorities and multiple projects concurrently. 

  • Able to work effectively in a functional team with peers geographically dispersed across the Division. 
  • Able to utilize computers within a network including loading & setup of Process Control & Communication related software.
  • Knowledgeable of Natural Gas Operating Procedures, Engineering Standards, OSHA and Safety practices.

Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:

  • Subject to after hours call-outs.

  • Occasionally subject to adverse weather conditions and cramped conditions.

  • Must have a proven safe driving record, and is subject to U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol related regulations.
  • Periodically requires out-of-town travel based on project types and locations.
  • Associates degree in a related technical field plus four years experience in the natural gas or related industry.

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
 
  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
