Specialist - Instructional Design
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in instructional/learning design and technical training in the oil and gas industry for adult learning (ADDIE), instructional design/technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications in Learning Design/Instructional Design are preferred.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PPT). Must have experience in generating reports in Excel pivot tables, Power BI (plus).
• Provide exemplary technical support by interfacing with end-users to troubleshoot course bugs and close out ServiceNow tickets.
• Independently drive projects forward, demonstrating ownership and accountability for progress and issue mitigation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in working with learners, SMEs, management, vendors and senior management.
• Ability to interface effectively and influence decisions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking for large and small groups.
• Strong organizational skills to manage many different training topics.
• Must be dependable, responsible, self-accountable, and self-motivated.
• Ability to maintain strong and positive relationships with 3rd party vendors and internal SMEs.
• Must work well within a team and be able to take direction and constructive feedback well.
• Additional responsibilities required to support ongoing needs of the organization.
Working Conditions
• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Travel as needed – up to 25%.
• Occasional visits to process plants, compressor stations, and pipeline settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, which require appropriate personal protective equipment.
