Specialist - IT Terminal Automation
Education Requirement
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; extensive work experience with PLC programming and terminal automation systems may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience Requirement
2-5 years of relevant technical experience, including PLC programming and support
Effective analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, managing time and schedule to meet appropriate deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills for communication with a diversified user community and outside vendors.
Ability to identify an issue, analyze and research the problem, and formulate a solution
Ability to identify, isolate, and repair equipment and software affecting service for all supported locations.
Available for 24 x 7 support as needed.
Ability to take directions from supervisors and work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in several of these areas preferred:
Support of PLCs deployed in petroleum industry
Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings
Field instrumentation and electrical systems.
Terminal system pre-set and metering technologies.
Basic knowledge of petroleum operations and industry terminology.
Working knowledge of networks and Microsoft Windows
Relational Databases, such as SQL or Oracle and PL/SQL
Linux, Unix, or QNX
MS Office Products
