Summary:
The candidate will work as part of the Operator Qualification (OQ)/Technical Training team, focusing on providing support to Operations personnel in the administration, documentation, and recordkeeping of the company’s pipeline OQ program. Additionally, this position may be asked to provide instructional design support in the creation of computer-based training (CBT) modules, training presentations, and graphics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a companywide pipeline OQ program administrator which may include but not limited to the following duties:
- Participates in an annual review of the OQ program policy and procedures
- Coordinates companywide OQ program studies as needed
- Responsible for examining OQ data
- Interfaces with all levels of the organization in various departments concerning the OQ Program
- Conducts, coordinates and develops/revises evaluator training associated with the OQ Program
- Responsible for and oversees documenting operation employee’s regulatory and non-regulatory qualifications
- Works with the Contract Management team to confirm that Contractor’s and their employees can meet all the requirements of the Operator Qualification Rule and Company operating procedures, including safety requirements
- Provide support to Regulatory and Operations in the preparation and execution of regulatory agency audits of the OQ program
- Administer and assign Operation and Operation Services courses in the company electronic learning management system.
- Depending on the skill set of the successful candidate, this position may be asked to provide instructional design support.
- Support other OQ and Tech Training support activities assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent experience and two (2) to five (5) years related work experience in the energy industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Success Oriented – Does not confuse activity with results
- Personal Accountability – Can be counted on
- Accomplishes tasks in a timely manner and on a consistent basis
- Good communicator and detail oriented
- Valid driver’s license is required
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
- The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the Pipeline Operator Qualification programs/regulations.
- Visual design skills with Articulate Storyline or other design tool(s)
