  • Summary:
     

    As a senior analyst, this person will assist in the forecasting, budgeting and analysis of Sunoco’s unbranded and energy services sales and operations. This candidate will need the ability to operate in a fast paced, collaborative environment and will work closely with our Accounting, Operations, Sales and Commercial groups.  This candidate must be proficient in participating in group discussions and the presentation of financial results.  This position will assist in the presentation/preparation of the following: 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively with sales team and broader finance team to provide financial reporting, budget and projections that align with broader company goals.
    • Use daily sales and pricing data to project monthly performance, identify trends and provide recommendations that improve current performance.
    • Prepare and report monthly results to financial and operations leadership. Preparation of this report will require updating the annual forecast on a monthly basis. 
    • Link financial results to operational performance drivers.
    • Assure accuracy of financial reporting and projections.
    • Create and produce operational reports to assist management in identifying underlying issues affecting channel profitability.
    • Support ad hoc analysis for capital projects, new customers, sales initiatives, and other departmental needs.
     
Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 5 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting related function, preferably with oil and gas related experience.
  • Knowledge of financial statements
  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written
  • Strong Excel modeling skills, advanced data modeling skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of wholesale fuel or energy services business preferred.
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment
