Sr Coordinator - Inventory
The Mont Belvieu Sr. Coordinator - Inventory manages inventory associated with 5 warehouse locations within the Gulf Coast Lonestar Factionation facility and performs in-person inventory audits annually. The position is responsible for maintaining the critical
spare parts levels at these locations. This requires dealing directly with Operations personnel and vendors to coordinate
repairs to repairable parts and requisitioning new parts when repairing a part is not an option. The position manages
capital project materials staging, tasks associated with logistics and provides shipping, receiving and expediting support
to Procurement and Engineering staff as required. Evaluates incoming and outgoing materials, validates related material
documentation (MTR, Certs, etc.) and builds supporting documentation files. Other responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
- Following all Safety Procedures and working in a safe manner at all times
- Coordinating with Operations and Procurement to ensure Materials Management Guidelines are adhered to by all
involved
- Working with Operations and Procurement to ensure inventory levels are set appropriately to accommodate upcoming
projects
- Working with Procurement and Logistics to resolve shipping discrepancies and damages as they occur
- Working with Operations and Procurement to provide suitable replacement materials in emergency situations
- Analyzing of surplus inventory to determine usage levels and conditions
- Submitting material transfers for processing
- Generating inventory requisitions into SAP-MM
- Participating in on-call schedule to support after-hours call outs
- Providing information needed for budget preparations on an annual basis
- Reporting daily receipts of procured materials to the Document Controls group for posting into SAP-MM
- Assisting with managing daily warehouse operations
- Providing heavy manual work, loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers by hand, hand truck/dolly and/or
forklift equipment (small, medium and heavy duty) as needed
- Providing SAP requisitioning training and support as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of related experience
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or additional college level courses
- Previous inventory, warehousing or procurement experience
- Knowledge of gas pipeline and/or compression related materials
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and SAP-MM
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals,
as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
