Summary:


Working within E&C Services, the Senior Scheduler will report to the Director – Project Controls. The Senior Scheduler will be responsible for assisting the Director – Project Controls to incorporate scheduling technologies within Engineering & Construction (E&C) Services. The Senior Scheduler will lead the effort in establishing a standardized set of project controls policies and processes that will develop consistency throughout the life-cycle of the project execution process. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director – Project Controls to establish a standard set of policies and procedures to be utilized across E&C Services

  • Maintain and Forecast key program schedules that will incorporate a portfolio of projects across E&C Services

  • Work with internal/external functions to maintain schedule integrity across multiple scheduling levels (Levels 1-4)

  • Identify, Analyze, and Report major variances to the Project Management Team related to completion of milestones, slippage of critical path items, and schedule variance (SV).

  • Incorporate resources to give the ability to run / report various types of analysis including, but not limited to, Cash Flow, Performance Indexes, and Risk Engineering.

  • Reports to the Director –Project Controls of E&C Project Services


Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Must be able to effectively support and communicate with various team members and within E&C Services

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge and application of all scheduling standards and practices involving ground-up (facility) and/or linear (pipeline) projects

  • Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments

  • Additional work outside of normal business hours may be required

  • Travel could be up to 40%, as required; role to be based out of Dallas, Texas

Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience directly related to scheduling in the Oil & Gas Industry with emphasis on Midstream (Pipeline) and Downstream (Facility).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

  • Further certifications through the AACE and/or PMI are preferred, but not required

  • Proficient understanding of the full life-cycle of ground-up and liner based projects from project initiation to closure

  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency utilizing the following Scheduling Software(s):

    • Primavera P6
    • TILOS
    • Microsoft Project
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency utilizing scheduling add-ons to evaluate schedule integrity, risk, and program management.

 
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 
  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.

  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

  3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

  4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
