Sr Engineer - Subsea Engineering
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field of engineering with Subsea engineering and design experience.
- Experience leading a team towards completing multiple capital projects.
- 6 - 10 years advanced experience in managing multiple engineering, design, construction, and planning projects related to Subsea projects.
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and relevant codes.
- Ability to develop and present multiple alternatives to an individual problem or situation.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills; good organizational skills.
- Experience developing/reviewing piping, instrument and electrical diagrams.
- Must have well developed PC skills, (Microsoft Office: WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, MS Project, etc.)
- Travel to various ET facilities for project scoping and review meetings as required.
- Travel and spend extended time offshore during critical phases of the project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management certification
- Professional Engineering License
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
