Sr Manager - Area - Field and Shop Services
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 10+ years natural gas compression industry experience. In-depth knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor frames.
- Caterpillar and Ariel Certification preferred.
- Previous customer-facing management experience preferred.
- Software Knowledge: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe. Ability to learn other software in use.
- Ability to manage field and shop services area and successfully lead subordinates to increase efficiency, production quality and volume. Able to apply principles and techniques to accomplish goals.
- Ability to plan and oversee all overhaul, repairs and maintenance of engines, compressors, pumps, turbines and motors.
- Demonstrated communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Ability to create and maintain on-going relationships with customers and other external parties to develop business for the area.
- Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner
- Ability to handle both internal and external problems and facilitate successful outcomes.
- Performs other functions/duties as required to meet customer and company requirements.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- 5-10 years of people management experience
- SAP experience preferred

- Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Driving, walking, and standing frequently
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
