Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 10+ years natural gas compression industry experience. In-depth knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor frames.  
  • Caterpillar and Ariel Certification preferred.
  • Previous customer-facing management experience preferred.
  • Software Knowledge: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe. Ability to learn other software in use.
  • Ability to manage field and shop services area and successfully lead subordinates to increase efficiency, production quality and volume. Able to apply principles and techniques to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to plan and oversee all overhaul, repairs and maintenance of engines, compressors, pumps, turbines and motors.
  • Demonstrated communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to create and maintain on-going relationships with customers and other external parties to develop business for the area.
  • Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner
  • Ability to handle both internal and external problems and facilitate successful outcomes.
  • Performs other functions/duties as required to meet customer and company requirements.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • 5-10 years of people management experience
  • SAP experience preferred

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
