Summary

The Enterprise PMO Lead is responsible for establishing, leading, and maturing the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) at Energy Transfer. This role owns the governance framework, delivery standards, portfolio visibility, and program execution discipline across the enterprise transformation portfolio. The EPMO Lead partners with senior business and technology leaders to ensure strategic initiatives are planned, tracked, and delivered with rigor and accountability.

This is a build-and-run leadership role — the EPMO Lead will stand up the EPMO function, define its operating model, staff its delivery team, and lead execution from day one.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

EPMO Strategy & Operating Model

·        Design and implement the EPMO operating model including governance structure, delivery methodology, intake processes, and reporting cadence

·         Define portfolio management standards across project prioritization, resourcing, and status reporting

·         Build and continuously improve a center of excellence for project and program management across ET's Transformation portfolio

·         Drive adoption of consistent PM practices across business units and functional teams

Portfolio Governance & Executive Reporting

·         Own the enterprise program portfolio dashboard and executive-level reporting cadence

·         Provide portfolio-level status, risk, and financial reporting to senior leadership

·         Facilitate steering committee meetings, stage-gate reviews, and cross-program dependency management

·         Maintain visibility into resource allocation and capacity across the active portfolio

Program Delivery Leadership

·         Lead and mentor the EPMO delivery team including project managers and coordinators

·         Serve as the escalation point for cross-program risks, blockers, and key decisions

·         Partner with partner business organizations, such as Finance, HR, Legal, IT, and Operations to enable successful program delivery

·         Drive lessons-learned processes and continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle

Organizational Capability Building

·         Define PM career paths and capability standards within the EPO

·         Develop onboarding and training pathways for project practitioners across the enterprise

·         Champion appropriate delivery methodologies (Agile, hybrid, waterfall) based on program context

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience

·         10+ years of progressive program and project management experience

·         2+ years in a PMO leadership, PMO manager, or program governance role

·         Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-workstream enterprise transformation programs

·         Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

·         Experience with portfolio and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Planview, or equivalent)

·         PMP certification required

Preferred Qualifications

·         MBA or advanced degree

·         Experience in energy, midstream, or industrial sector

·         Familiarity with enterprise platform implementations (Workday, SAP, Salesforce, or equivalent)

·         Agile or SAFe certification

·         Experience contributing to or building a PMO during organizational transformation or M&A

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 ·         Usually, normal office working conditions. 

·         Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 

·         Occasional overnight travel may be required.
