Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Business, Engineering or similar Scientific discipline
  • Gas Industry experience in fabrication, manufacturing, assembly. 
  • Demonstrated experience and skills to lead people and influence others not under direct control, as well as manage multiple functions.
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience
  • Experience using LEAN, Six Sigma, Total Quality and/or other Quality Management and Continuous Improvement tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience successfully facilitating Kaizen style events and ad hoc collaboration and improvements
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Visio, Power Point,
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in natural gas industry fabrication, manufacturing and assembly, preferably in operations roles.  Experience with commissioning and field service a plus.
  • Experience establishing a new Operational Excellence function from the ground up, putting new systems in place. 
  • Direct experience managing Quality, Warranty, Operational Excellence, Training and other related programs.
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma training and certifications
  • SAP computer skills a plus

Working Conditions

 

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Work within office, assembly and fabrication shop, and field environments.   

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 

  • Occasional travel, estimated at 10-15%, may be required. 

  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
