Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

 
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 8 years of Outside Sales experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Must have computer skills i.e. Microsoft office, and/or required software

  • Requires detailed knowledge with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field and knowledge of the manufactured product and services while serving as the company representative

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized

  • Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner

  • Ability to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomes

  • Ability to determine appropriate courses of action in more complex situations that may be not addressed by existing policies, procedures or protocols

  • Decisions include such matters as changes in policy and regulations, order in which work is done, and application of established procedures

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

     
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business, or at least five years' experience in the energy industry.

  • Rotating Equipment Sales Experience

 

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Work within office, assembly and fabrication shop, and field environments.   

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 

  • Travel, will be required. 

  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
