Required Education:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with the Emerson OeltaV control system.
  • A minimum 3 to 5 years working with and programming PLC
  • Knowledge of Fractionator controls and advanced controls a plus.
  • Ability to program PLC ladder Logic.
  • Must have experience in Process Historian design and Maintenance
  • Must have experience with instrumentation basics and HART communications.
  • Must have experience with MOOBUS
  • Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel applications.
  • Intimately familiar with failsafe Emergency Shutdown Systems and equipment protection fundamentals.
  • Must be organized and methodci al in diagnosing equipment and controls related problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact with all levels of management and non-management personnel. As   a Company representative, the incumbent also interfaces with outside regulatory agencies. customers, contractors, and industry counterparts.
  • Two year technical degree in electronic circuits and PLC programming or higher. 
  • Personal skills necessary to maintain a good rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Engineering degree helpful but not required.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally 
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
