Sr Specialist - Controls
Required
Education:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with the Emerson OeltaV control system.
- A minimum 3 to 5 years working with and programming PLC
- Knowledge of Fractionator controls and advanced controls a plus.
- Ability to program PLC ladder Logic.
- Must have experience in Process Historian design and Maintenance
- Must have experience with instrumentation basics and HART communications.
- Must have experience with MOOBUS
- Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel applications.
- Intimately familiar with failsafe Emergency Shutdown Systems and equipment protection fundamentals.
- Must be organized and methodci al in diagnosing equipment and controls related problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact with all levels of management and non-management personnel. As a Company representative, the incumbent also interfaces with outside regulatory agencies. customers, contractors, and industry counterparts.
- Two year technical degree in electronic circuits and PLC programming or higher.
- Personal skills necessary to maintain a good rapport with internal and external customers.
- Engineering degree helpful but not required.

- Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Driving, walking, and standing frequently
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
