Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Position Summary: 

Provide expertise and recommended actions to management regarding current and developing environmental issues that impact operations.  Support ongoing compliance with environmental rules and regulations.  Ensure that all control, monitoring, record-keeping, and reporting requirements related to the area of responsibility are satisfied accurately and on time.  Provide support as needed for environmental compliance and permitting projects.  Serve as the point of contact for local, state, and federal government regulatory agencies. Work with Corporate Communications on environmental issues that may involve the general public or media.

Major Accountabilities: 

·         Demonstrates company’s core values and promote a safe working environment.

·         Maintains current knowledge of existing and proposed environmental regulations of the local, state and federal jurisdictions, including but not limited to the             Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substance Control Act, and Federal Oil Pollution Act.

·        Works with terminal operations and other HSE staff to determine company’s regulatory obligations. Must have the ability to communicate the impact of                   regulatory and operational changes to terminal management and HSE Leadership.

·        Becomes familiar with company policies and regulatory obligations and completes tasks to ensure compliance, including but not limited to managing                       waste disposal activities, sampling, manifesting waste shipments, conducting inspections, reviewing analytical results, coordinating emissions tests. 

·        Participates in local environmental, safety, and civic organizations to maintain current knowledge of activities in the community that may affect the company           while promoting the company’s core values of safety and environmental stewardship.

·         Assists terminal and outside organizations during emergency response activities.

·         Performs all duties following the safety and ethical guidelines established by the Company.

·         Participates in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance and identify areas of opportunity.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in Environmental Science; Physical Science; Chemical or Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.  Experience combined with a HS diploma or GED may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience Requirements:

·        A minimum of 5 years of related environmental experience required.    

·        Extensive overall understanding of terminal/pipeline operations is preferred.

·       Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state environment regulations is required as well as the ability to demonstrate direct experience with governing                      agencies and permitting.

·        Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

·        Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Must be able to work on a team or independently.

·         Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.

·        Demonstrates company’s core values and promote a safe working environment.
