  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Medium Voltage Systems, Motors, Motor Control Systems, Switch Gear, Reduction Gear Drives and Process Control Systems for natural gas compressor units.
  • Primary technical areas include electrical systems, motors, controls, automation, engine/compressor pnuematic, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action. Facilitate team meetings to address equipment needs and to develop corrective actions to resolve.  Conduct follow up to ensure completion of corrective actions.
  • Analyze equipment condition by interpreting operating and maintenance records, lab analysis, instrument readings and trending.
  • Provide assistance in setting up trend parameters and data interpretation for location personnel to monitor and improve equipment performance.
  • Monitor the Preventative Maintenance Program for all machinery utilizing the Maintenance Management System.
  • Assists area teams in the development of O&M and Capital projects related to natural gas compression equipment to include: A.) Identification of Projects, ) Project Justification , C.) Project proiritizing and work scopes, D.) Project Management, E.) Project Commissioning
  • Prepares and maintains written records, documents and photos.
  • Utilize comprehensive, systematic and integrated approach using various maintenance and operational elements such as preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, performance monitoring and root cause failure analysis to develop, execute and evaluate company's asset management program.
  • Provides Technical/Non-Technical support related to operations and maintenance of natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment.  
  • Able to use diagnostic equipment and provide troubleshooting expertise to field teams as required.
  • Provide feedback to Area Management on field team performance.
  • Provide training in all aspects of Electrical Systems, Motors and Compressor Station Controls.
  • Develop, review and approve lock out tag out and work plans for electrical systems associated with natural gas compressors and auxiliary equipment.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of operations and maintenance of electrical systems associated with natural gas compressors and auxiliary equipment.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Above average hardware and software computer skills necessary to support the equipment
  • Above average analytical skills necessary to identify, evaluate machinery performance and condition levels utilizing diagnostic equipment.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory requirements associated with electrical systems and rotating equipment in the natural gas industry.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent human relations skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company procedures, Industry-related safety standards and applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Experience in administering Company-wide programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a collaborative work environment.
  • Must be able to perform routine administrative duties.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company procedures and Industry-related standards, codes and practices, and applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Experience in executing and administering Company-wide programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a collaborative work environment with personal skills necessary to maintain a good rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Incumbent must be able to handle rapidly shifting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
  • Work in a functional team with peers geographically dispersed across the Division.
  • Interface with management and field personnel to ensure uniformity and continuity and to promote customer service.
  • Multi-skilled background in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Control systems for natural gas compression facilities. 
  • Personal skills necessary to maintain a good rapport with internal and external customers.

    Preferred Skills: 
  • Multi-skilled background in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and control systems for natural gas compression facilities
  • Operational and theoretical understanding of electronics.
  • Special Characteristics/Job Requirements: 
  • Subject to call-out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting and cramped conditions.
  • Must have a proven safe driving record, and incumbent is subject to U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol related regulations.
  • New hires to the Company will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and are subject to a background check.
  • Position will be filled at appropriate level based on skill and experience.
