Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of regulatory experience or other similar disciplines with exposure to federal regulations and compliance activities. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve non-routine issues independently.
  • Ability to handle complex and highly confidential matters in a mature, professional manner. 
  • Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel. 
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to think proactively, multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possess a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, ability to work effectively with changing priorities
  • Adhere to high ethical standards, function effectively as a team player and lead others to do the same.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to travel and work in field pipeline locations while wearing PPE
  • Valid driver’s license is required                 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior experience within the pipeline and energy industry
  • Working knowledge of 49 CFR 191, 192, 194, 195 and 199 and standards incorporated by reference (API, ASME, MSS, ASTM, NFPA, NACE)
  • Experience working with Federal and State regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of SharePoint         

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
  2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
