Sr Specialist - Terminal Scheduling
Required Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 5 - 8 years of related experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Prior scheduling experience in the energy industry or operational experience in the energy industry.
- A general understanding of marine, rail car, and pipeline operations.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Strong Excel Spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to master new computer applications such as Transport4, Pacesetter, and Portvision.
- Background in pipeline, railcar, and marine operations, pipeline scheduling, or accounting.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to organize, perform, and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment meeting time sensitive deadlines.
- Must be a team player and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce within various levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work flexible hours in the event of a project start up and emergency upset.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Normal office working conditions with approximately 50% of the time in the field.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Position is based in industrial settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
