Summary:

The Reliability Supervisor has the responsibility of leading a team of equipment and emission technicians. The Reliability Supervisor will assist and learn how to support technical and maintenance activities and assist operations personnel in the Western division. The supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that all operations are carried out efficiently and effectively while maintaining high professionalism and adherence to safety guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages equipment analysts and emissions technicians.
  • Analyzes performance of engines and compressors through efficiency studies
  • Build/maintain engine database for regulatory purposes and runtime reporting.
  • Assists implementation and training for maintenance scheduling through EAM.
  • Assist with Critical Spare Parts Inventory
  • Schedule and implement training to keep up with new technology being installed.
  • Oversees lube oil program.
  • Coordinates and tracks failure analysis
  • Assist with recommendations to operational groups in order of importance based on performance analysis, hours of operation, and lube oil analysis.
  • Ability to understand and train Alignments/Flatness
  • Assist with analyzing the Spectrum and FFT data collected by the equipment technicians.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8+ years in mechanical analysis techniques.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of operations and maintenance of engines, gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors.
  • Above average hardware and software computer skills are necessary to support the equipment in the field that is being utilized to gather the information for trending evaluation.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent human relations skills. In-depth knowledge of Company procedures, Industry-related safety standards, and applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Above-average analytical skills are needed to identify and evaluate machinery performance and condition levels utilizing the condition Monitoring System.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Operating, DOT, and EPA Procedures, Engineering Standards, OSHA and Safety practices, and routine administrative duties.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Experience in a supervisory or lead role.

    • Caterpillar/Waukesha engine software
    • Windrock/Resonance system

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Position is based in industrial/manufacturing settings which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
