Supervisor - STB Storage
The primary focus will be to provide oversight for day to day operations at Energy Transfer's Spindletop Storage Facility in Beaumont, Texas involving storage and pipelines to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This position will be responsible for managing the operations of the facility which includes regulatory record keeping, customer relations, daily operations, assisting engineering and maintenance with projects, hiring, and performance management.
- Ensuring established regulatory, environmental, and safety standards are maintained
- Responsible for ensuring a safe & reliable work operations of the facility for the (internal and external) workforce by conducting drills and coordinating training efforts.
- Supervise subordinates in performing their job duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Administer performance reviews for subordinates and administer disciplinary action as needed
- Maintain departmental manuals, procedures, and compliance records
- Develop and administer training courses to ensure personnel qualifications are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Develops and maintains operational procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Ensures operating parameters are within the limits of the design of the equipment
- Assist in PHA’s, MOCs and PSSRs for new projects and startups procedures
- 24/7 Emergency Response
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma and equivalent work experience in 24/7 operations of liquid hydrocarbons and/or underground storage
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Solid computer skills in MS Office
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with Engineering, Commercial, Scheduling, and other assistance groups
- Must be extremely flexible and able to adapt quickly to changes resulting from an ever changing work environment and high growth location
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and safety training
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Underground Storage Facilities and Pipelines
- DOT 195 Pipeline regulations
- Knowledge of PSM regulations
- Knowledge of RRC regulations
- Knowledge of Emergency Response Protocols and ICS
- Knowledge of Ethylene operations
