Essential Requirements:
Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Graduate engineer with BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Petroleum engineering with 3-6 years’ experience in corrosion prevention and control programs for hazardous liquid and/or gas transmission and plant assets. Experience desirable in pipeline operations, pipeline design, and pipeline integrity corrosion control issues, pipeline assessment and, PHMSA and State Code requirements and compliance.
Preferred Qualities:
The position requires a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
A highly developed ability with PC’s and office computer software is required.
Must be a self-starter and self-motivator, with the ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
NACE Certification Preferred.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
