Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering and 3-10 years of operational / technical experience in gas pipeline design and/or operations.
  • Knowledge of pipeline engineering principles and practices, facility construction and cost estimating.
  • Strong communication and project management skills with ability to prepare clear, concise and complete written reports.
  • Experience designing pipeline systems using simulation software (Gregg Engineering, ProMax, HYSYS, and/or Pipeline Studio). 
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to recognize, analyze and recommend alternative solutions to problems and issues. 
  • Expert level knowledge of MS Office products

 Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 3-6 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Engineer level requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering disciplineand 6-10 years of relevant job related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broad knowledge of company functions a plus (Regulatory, Financial, Marketing, Market Services, Operations, Engineering and Construction, Gas Control). 
  • Understanding of BI and/or data analytics and use of visualization/reporting software (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Adept working knowledge of Gregg Engineering’s simulation software suite (WinFlow/WinTran/NextGen).
 
Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Normal office working conditions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment will occur.
