Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- B.S. or higher in Metallurgical Engineering,
- Minimum 3-6 years’ experience preferably with experience related to energy transmission pipelines, including failure analysis, mechanical properties, testing and specification, damage mechanisms (corrosion, mechanical damage, earth movement, etc.).
- Experienced with industry standard specifications, such as, 49 CFR Part 192 and 195, API 5L, API 1104, MSS SP 75.
- Knowledge of relevant API, ASME, ANSI and other applicable codes and specifications.
- Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software, WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK,
Preferred Qualifications:
- Team Leader training in the TapRooT® system.
Working Conditions:
- Assess pipelines through entering excavations and ladders.
- Sitting for extended periods
- Standing for extended periods
- Driving extended periods and distances further than 90 miles.
- Travel on short notice to failure locations up to approximately 25-30% throughout Energy Transfer’s assets
- The job may also involve participating on occasional unscheduled callouts and extended workdays and/or workweek.
- This position requires travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.
- Natural gas, liquids and processing is an “around the clock” operation and may be subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heights, high pressure gas lines, confined and cramped conditions. Position may be subject to applicable U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol regulations
