Analyst - Area
Summary:
This position will be responsible for compiling, tracking, analyzing, and reporting of budget information for The Permian Area. Primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to: compiling and reviewing data for accuracy, tracking trends in financial data, analyzing and reporting budget numbers, identifying and resolving variances, and making recommendations to management regarding the analysis completed. Furthermore, this role will work with other field coordinators in compiling and trending data for each regional office.
Essential Functions:
- Update, report, communicate, and submit recommendations to management regarding forecast models utilizing current financial and operational assumptions
- Meet regularly with regional operational management teams to ensure proper assumptions for monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts
- Compile, analyze, and report on segment operating data
- Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans as well as analysis of variances to budgets, forecasts and prior year results
- Prepare and consolidate financial presentations and operating metrics for senior management team
- Coordinate with accounting during the month end close process to ensure results are recorded properly for internal reporting purposes
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Experience with preparing annual budgeting for O&M, and Capital projects and entering each into TM1
- Experience identifying and entering quarterly accruals for Project Manager.
- Experience with SAP a plus
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
- The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Working Conditions:

- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
