Summary:
Contract Administration offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized expertise at the intersection of contracts, business processes, accounting, and the energy industry. As you gain experience, you will build a deep understanding of commercial agreements, contract interpretation, settlement processes, producer relationships, and the operational aspects of the natural gas business.
Successful Contract Administrators become trusted subject matter experts and take on increasing responsibility through the administration of more complex agreements, contract analysis, special projects, system initiatives, and mentoring opportunities.
This role is designed for individuals who are interested in building a long-term career in Contract Administration and developing expertise that is both highly valued and critical to the success of the business.
This position is designed as an entry point into Contract Administration. As experience and expertise grow, employees have the opportunity to progress into more senior Contract Administration roles with increased responsibility for complex agreements, contract analysis, project leadership, process improvement initiatives, and mentoring of newer team members.
The most successful Contract Administrators become trusted experts whose knowledge and judgment are relied upon across multiple areas of the business.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in contract administration or legal support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new systems and business processes quickly.
- Ability to multi-task and work productively and independently with minimal supervision as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Flexibility, adaptability, and dependability in managing changing priorities
- Professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and workplace conduct
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Associate Contract Administrator requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience
- The Contract Administrator level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- The Senior Contract Administrator level requires a Bachelor's or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of natural gas contract administration experience
The Lead Contract Administrator level requires a Bachelor's or equivalent experience and 8+ years of natural gas contract administration experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of natural gas contracts or the energy industry.
- Experience with Quorum Contract Management System.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
