Summary:

This role supports the Contract Administration team in the day to day functions and is specifically responsible for the Contract Administrative functions as they relate to meters on our system.  Other key responsibilities important to the organization are: WebMETER, audit monitoring, meter disconnects, and drafting NAESB agreements. The responsibilities of the Associate Contract Administrator are such that when mastered and done consistently, will provide the necessary understanding and tools needed to advance to a Contract Administrator.  Seeking a candidate that is willing to commit at least 2 years to the position.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all gas well data needed for proper monthly accounting and settlement utilizing the Quorum E-Suite and QCM Systems
  • Analyze and report first flow information generated from measurement reports
  • Process well disconnect requests
  • Act as Producer contact for company’s measured volumes tracking system (“webMETER”)
  • Prepare webMETER Data Access Agreements for Producer’s and maintain accurate file system to account for each agreement.
  • Prepare NAESB contracts, TCs and amendments using standard forms
  • Draft minor changes to standard contract language
  • Prepare Contract Briefs summarizing new and amended contract terms by entering contract data into Quorum Contract Management System
  • Maintain spreadsheet of acreage dedication through new contracts and assignments
  • Track contractual obligations and administer contract trigger events
  • Monitor monthly audits to ensure they are completed timely by contract administrators
  • Work closely with Measurement to ensure that wells do not flow without contracts
  • Route contracts for approval and execution
  • Provide contractual information to internal and external customers
  • Generate contract-related correspondence
  • Gather contractual data and prepare reports for internal business needs
  • Follow SOX procedures and maintain adequate records for audit purposes
  • Interface with external customers to address contractual issues
  • Work closely with Commercial and Marketing Departments to understand new deals
  • Work closely with Plant Accounting on settlement issues
  • Perform due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures 
  • Provide back up support to administrative assistant and other positions as needed

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with natural gas contracts preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more year of natural gas contract administration experience preferred
  • Strong organization skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Affinity for mastering new software tools
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency

Preferred: Knowledge of Quorum Contract Management System, PGAS, FlowCal, and SharePoint a plus

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
