Requirements:  Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Highly motivated, assertive self-starter that is goal-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Capstone’s dataParc historian.
  • Strong understanding of time-series data.
  • Working knowledge SQL, VBA, and VB.NET
  • High proficiency with Windows 10 administration, security, networking
  • Documentation experience including technical and functional documentation.
  • Ability to adhere to best practices and industry standards.
  • Team-oriented and dependable with well-developed interpersonal skills and work habits.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, the ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and teamwork skills, with the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
  • Must be customer-focused and internalize the role of IT within the organization as a support function.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other historians such as OSI Pi, PHD, Wonderware is welcomed.
  • Experience in process, chemical industry, utilities is a plus
  • Strong understanding of pipeline operations is a plus.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

 
  • Usually, normal office working conditions. 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. 
  • Travel in upwards of 40% of the time
