Lead Specialist - Regulated Assets
Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure compliance with government regulation by gathering, analyzing, and reporting data related to Sunoco’s regulated Pipeline Systems and or areas of development pursuit, ensuring compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations, as well as other state and local authorities. This includes leading the annual filling process, driving optimization and development efforts around regulated assets, and being an integral part of the broader Pipeline Systems commercial development team. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and compliance requirements. In particular, the successful candidate will:
· FERC Filing Support: Work with the FERC Compliance team to prepare reports, analytics, optimization recommendations, and filings
· Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering, analyzing, and organizing data related to pipeline commercial operations, including financial, operational, and regulatory information with regards to blending programs.
· Regulatory Compliance: Monitoring and analyzing new FERC regulations and pronouncements, identifying potential impacts, and developing solutions, improvements, and avenues for growth for, and/or with consideration to, compliance. This role will also manage an inform the broader business to alternative compliance, regulatory, and environmental program updates (such as IMO, environmental attributes, trends, etc.)
· Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and FERC Compliance personnel to ensure effective communication and information sharing. Working collaboratively with the Butane Blending team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.
· Project Support: Supporting various pipeline projects, including new construction, expansions, and maintenance, by providing data analysis and regulatory support. Additionally, support business development in project pursuits as a consultant around compliance, credits, attributes, and other compliance related value drivers.
· Collaborate with business development professionals for continued improvement and growth throughout the pipeline systems
· Collaborate with Operations, Commercial Business Development, Finance, and the broader Sunoco LP teams to oversee the implementation of approved capital growth projects, regulated asset improvement pursuits, and day-to-day management
Requirements
BS degree in Finance/Business/Engineering or other related discipline.
8+ years in US midstream and/ or petroleum fuels business with specific experience in the interstate regulatory area.
Strong understanding of FERC regulations, procedures, and requirements, as well as industry trends.
Overall understanding of the US refined products and/or crude oil business including supply, trading, logistics and operations.
Proficiency in financial modeling of capital projects and acquisition targets
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
Demonstrated leadership capability and an eagerness to creatively improve approaches and seek value generation
Strong communication skills, both for internal and external counterparts
MBA and/or other post-graduate education preferred.

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
· Occasional overnight travel may be required.
