Preventative Maintenance Supervisor
The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Supervisor is responsible to oversee and support the daily activities of Field Maintenance Employees assigned to the Preventative Maintenance Department. Ensure Preventative Maintenance is planned and completed in a timely manner while scheduling work with the least affect to the operation of the Terminal. Should be self-motivated with high regard for safety and integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule preventive and predictive maintenance (PM and PdM) at Nederland Terminal for all crude oil, bunker/marine fuel and NGL areas.
- Work with operations, maintenance, engineering and management, to track, trend, report and take effective corrective actions to prevent equipment failures.
- Develop and maintain the mechanical integrity program. Supervise technicians assigned to preventive maintenance duties.
- Build preventative maintenance plans and programs for new and existing equipment.
- Assist with work plan development as necessary.
- Participate in meetings and provide suggestions for equipment reliability improvements.
- Ensure manufacturer’s procedures are followed and recommended materials are used for maintenance activities.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- An Associate's degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical or Electrical).
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance operations including maintenance skilled craft knowledge (i.e., pipe fitting, electrical, instrumentation, machinery, etc.).
- Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient with applicable software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be familiar with and or able to implement company safety policies and procedures.
- Previous experience utilizing SAP Plant Maintenance, preferred.
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
