Summary

Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the Office of Ethics and Compliance and the overall operation of the Compliance and Ethics Program by supporting due diligence on foreign third parties, testing compliance and anti-corruption controls, and supporting the privacy function.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Due Diligence

·         Perform third-party and counter-party due diligence, communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and legal teams.

·         Research and stay abreast of evolving rules pertaining to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other international anti-corruption laws.

 

Risk Assessment & Control Monitoring

·         Collaborate with the internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize potential compliance risks to the organization.

·         Assist in developing risk assessment methodologies and frameworks to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.

·         Assist with testing controls that mitigate compliance risks.

 Other Areas

·         Assist with the monitoring and testing of international transactions and project expenditures subject to anti-bribery and corruption laws.

·         Assist with supporting and coordinating privacy-related activities, responding to privacy inquiries, and supporting the implementation of privacy policies and procedures.

·         Assist with helpline investigations.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The qualifications for this position are listed below:

·         Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

·        5-8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related fields.

·         Experience using Third Party Risk Management platforms.

·         Knowledge of compliance risks, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other international anti-corruption laws.

·         Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices related to sanctions compliance.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

·         Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance-related software applications.

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

·         Usually, normal office working conditions.

·         Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

·         Occasional overnight travel may be required.

·    Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
