Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the Office of Ethics and Compliance and overall operation of the Compliance and Ethics Program, by leading and performing due diligence of foreign third parties  and mitigating anti-corruption risks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Due Diligence

  • High level Knowledge of evolving compliance risks and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other international anti-corruption laws and experience using third party anticorruption due diligence platforms.
  • Perform  and review third party and counter party due diligence activities and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Continuously research and stay abreast of evolving rules pertaining to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other international anti-corruption laws.
  • Support legal counsel in research and advice to key stakeholders within foreign locations on compliance risks as needed.

Compliance Risk Assessments

  • Assist in conducting the organization's compliance risk assessment, which involves gathering input  from senior management to evaluate the impact and probability of certain risk events
  • Assist in reviewing and testing internal compliance process and controls that are designed to mitigate certain compliance risks.

Other Areas

  • Assist in identifying/tracking proposed regulations, notifying senior management of regulations and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure that an appropriate response is being taken by the organization.
  • Assist with EthicsPoint Helpline investigations as needed.
  • Collaborate with other business functions and outside resources as necessary to identify, evaluate and resolve compliance issues through appropriate existing channels.
  • Any other duties assigned.



Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Successful completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program with at least five years of directly related experience
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience and facilitate complex communications.
  • Ability to work independently but ensure accurate internal engagement/alignment on various multi stakeholder files.
  • Must have proven negotiating skills, conflict resolution skills, strong interpersonal skills and excellent financial analysis ability.
  • Highly motivated with a team player and collaborative approach to work. Build and maintain key relationships, promoting a culture of engagement and connectivity.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the pipeline business and regulatory environment preferred.
  • Ability to establish trust with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with computer programs found in a typical office environment.
  • Detailed working knowledge of internal Ethics and Compliance policies as well as applicable external polices.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job related experience


Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
