Summary:  This position will be responsible for supporting the Vice President and members of the Regulatory Affairs Department ensuring efficient operation of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support of Vice President, directors, managers and analysts enhancing a teamwork atmosphere within the department
  • Serves as a focal point of open communications within the department by providing daily report of FERC orders and notices, compiling weekly report of Regulatory projects, notice of FERC news releases, and awareness of changes in corporate policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional and discretionary manner only divulging information to necessary individuals 
  • Coordinate and assist in business meetings with internal and external parties providing logistics for meeting invitations, room location and refreshments
  • Process and monitor department invoices with ability to resolve vendor issues
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for individual and group travel
  • Coordinate and assist department members with correspondence, expense reports, check requests, presentations and reports, timesheet entry and recordkeeping, initiation of WBSs for special projects, and calendar scheduling
  • General administrative duties such as handling phones, copies, faxes, scans, mailings, service desk requests and supply orders

Requirements:
Education and/or experience, knowledge skills and abilities:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2+ years as an administrative assistant
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and work ethic
  • Problem solving and research skills, with ability to recognize issues and source solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software:  Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP, OpenText, eTime and Concur

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a Regulatory/Legal environment
