The Senior Environmental Specialist will serve within our EHS team on our Environmental Services team as a technical resource for environmental matters across pipeline and terminal operations.  This role will be involved with the managing of soil and groundwater remediation activities, coordinating contractors and regulatory agency interactions, supporting environmental permitting and compliance programs, providing waste management expertise, overseeing environmental vendors and service contracts, offering technical guidance on remediation, hazardous waste, PCB, asbestos, due diligence efforts, incident response activities, environmental risk evaluations, and other environmental compliance matters.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

 

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

     

  • 8+ years’ experience in the environmental field;

  • Experience with soil/groundwater remediation

  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work and adaptable to changing due dates;

  • Demonstrated organization, attention to detail and communication skills;

  • Demonstrated project management skills (e.g. scope control, vendor management, risk evaluation, cost optimization, etc.)

  • Ability to manage workload independently and deliver timely and accurate results;

  • Capable of working well under restricted timelines and in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment;

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service across all levels of the organization;

  • Ability to drive a company vehicle and an acceptable motor vehicle record

  • Preferred BS Degree in environmental science/geology/engineering or related field experience;

  • Preferred Skills:  OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
