Summary: 
Staff Process Engineer is responsible for developing process solutions (largely unreviewed with respect to engineering content) and is also responsible for reviewing other junior engineer’s work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below: 
  • Work with plant operations personnel (daily) to help improve plant operations (troubleshooting).
  • Implement entire project cycle for field generated plant improvement projects including scope, design, development, material procurement, construction and project completion.  
  • Communicate with company operations personnel and contractors for successful project implementation. 
  • Work with Facility Planning group, to obtain simulation results for gathering system expansion projects.
  • Provide support when needed for large cryo plant projects in support of operation’s needs.
  • Take part in PSM activities for area facilities. (help maintain facility drawings, resolve PHA action items, etc.)
  • Maintain facility process simulations and work with junior engineers to help them develop process solutions and educate junior staff concerning: engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen process engineering knowledge base and proficiencies, and share knowledge with others. 
Required Education: 
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering Discipline (ChemE preferred)
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level: 
  • Previous Natural Gas Processing industry experience
  • 10+ years Engineering, operations, and/or project experience
  • Microsoft Products experience
  • Process Simulation Engineering Programs (ProMax, Aspen, etc.)
Working Conditions: 
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally 
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently 
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting 
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment 
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
