Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Minimum 8 years of designing and documenting mechanical, pipe, structural and civil experience. Experience and strong knowledge of CAXWORX
  • Previous management or supervisorial experience preferred
  • Working knowledge in compression, production equipment and process equipment
  • Experience in related industry; Natural Gas Compression as well as revamp compression units or experience with pressure vessels, piping or measurement skid design.
  • Read instrumentation diagrams as well as compression layouts and process equipment
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Must be able to perform task with minimal guidance or supervision
  • Physical Power: Walks, sits, stands in place, arm/wrist/hand movement, lifts

 

Software Knowledge:

  • Proficient using 3-D CadWorx design, AutoCAD, 2018 SolidWorx and 2018 Codeware Compress; proficient using complete Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
  • Must have the ability to learn and develop system design CAD files or drawings in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices. Work assignments should be made based on the training and experience of the designer weighed against the complexity of the equipment and piping

 

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Normal office working conditions. 
  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
