Staff Engineer-Project Cost Controls
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
- 6 - 10 years of relevant work experience directly related to cost engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry
- Must be able to effectively support and communicate with various team members and within E&C Services
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Knowledge and application of all cost / risk engineering standards and practices involving ground-up (facility) and/or linear (pipeline) projects
- Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments
- Additional work outside of normal business hours may be required
- Travel could be up to 40%, as required; role to be based out of Dallas, Texas
- Further certifications through the AACE and/or PMI are preferred, but not required
- Proficient understanding of the full life-cycle of ground-up and liner based projects from project initiation to closure
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency utilizing Portfolio Project Management and Cost / Risk Engineering Software(s)
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency utilizing Cost / Risk Engineering add-ons to evaluate forecast integrity, risk, and program management.
